Bowling matches cancelled

With winter storms wreaking havoc on SHS and the entire Midwest region, add two highly anticipated Girls Bowling matches to the long list of casualties.
Brad Walker, the team’s coach, called his players after school was cancelled on each of the days.  The scheduled matches were against GMC rival Princeton on January 27 and Mercy on January 29
“I had mixed feelings about the matches being cancelled.  I was ready and excited to play, but I think everyone enjoyed our snow days,” said Katie Ziegler, 10.
The next question is if the matches will be rescheduled.  With the season approaching its finale and bowling lanes heavily booked, this is no easy feat.
“Coach has talked about rescheduling the matches to us, but it is all hypothetical at this point,” said Lainey Paul, 10.
While it is still uncertain if the team will have the opportunity to face off against Princeton and Mercy, Oak Hills is still scheduled to be played February 4, 2009 and it would be greatly appreciated by the team if anyone available turned out to cheer them on.
