JV gets a break

   The JV wrestling team has fought hard in tough tournaments over the two weeks of winter break. “It was good to get a lot of matches, but really hard,” said Ryan Reed, 9.
   The team wrestled tournaments at Oak Hills and Carrol High School. After struggling at Oak Hills the team was able to put two wrestlers in the championship match. Both of the wrestlers placed 2nd. “It was great to go so far in a tough tournament,” said Tony Ancona, 11.
   The team now will get two weeks off competition to let their bodies recover. “I am looking forward to improving while I have a break,” said Andy Coddington, 10.
   After those two weeks the team will prepare to wrestle a home meet against Fairfield and the most important tournament JV GMC’s.
