After the success of their first company, Touring Company is back to non-stop rehearsals. In the class room, they have started preparing for the Holiday Concert on December 18 at 7:30pm.
“I’m very excited to be starting a new selection of music and I hope we will do as well as we did with our last concert,” said Ryan Sess, 11.
This holiday season, TC is performing a jazzy holiday medley. While in the last concert the large group was separated into two smaller groups, this concert, they will perform as a whole.
On top of learning the new choreography and music, the group is in the process of scheduling performances around town. Traditionally, TC visits nursing homes, retirement homes, and places of the nature.
“These upcoming months are going to be particularly hard with all the hype of the holiday season. It can be very distracting,” said Caroline Bresnehan, 9.
While TC is working hard in the classroom, excitement about the holiday concert has already taken hold.
“I can’t wait for the holiday concert. Maybe it’s because it means it’s basically winter break. But either way, I’m excited,” said Jeff Silverstein, 10.
With an upbeat selection and a talented group of singers and dancers, the holiday concert has a lot of potential to be great. |
