The team will have full squad workouts for the next two weeks. The team will continue to condition to get faster and stronger. In addition, the team is doing fielding and hitting drills to prepare players for the regular season.

“It is good that we get to work as a team this early,” said Meghan Stoy, 10.

Good fundamentals have been the key focus for the team. The coaches designed a new routine that emphasizes form and footwork. The new drills will make players more efficient and make the overall defense better.

“All of our drills are based off fundamentals and are in steps,” said Kat Pember, 11.

The team will open up the season against Princeton on March 26. For the next month the team will be doing drills and to get themselves in the shape to compete at the highest level.

“We need to work hard now, so we can be ready for the regular season,” said Candice Hayes, 12.
