Boys bowling ends season

After a long, rough season for the boys bowling team, it is now over. The varsity squad ended up with a 0-9 record in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC). It is the first time they have not won a game in the GMC.

“We bowled pretty well all season. This league is a very difficult league. Especially when three different people from different teams bowl a perfect game of 300,” said Mike Grannen, 12.

Over the past two years, the squad has posted a 6-25 record and has only won one game in the GMC in that span. That puts their two year GMC record at 1-17.

“Being the only underclassman on the varsity team, we just hope to get some people to help bring our team to the top for the future,” said Jake LaFrance, 10.

Senior Phil LaFrance, holds this year’s team high in overall average score for the season with a 196.8 pins knocked down per game (ten frames). Aaron Sears, 12, holds the teams best single game record with a score of 289 pins knocked down in one games. He also holds the team’s series (two straight games) high with a score of 479 pins knocked down in two straight games.
