Prior to the season, boys lacrosse coach Tom Nugent seemed to be very optimistic about his teams.

“It should be a very exciting year,” said Nugent.

The junior varsity and varsity teams each started their seasons this past weekend, March 19-21. The junior varsity team went 1-1 in scrimmages.

“[Junior varsity’s weekend] was highlighted by a strong victory over Turpin 8-2,” said Nugent.

The varsity team appeared to have a busier weekend, playing a total of seven scrimmages in all. They went 4-3, with three of their victories coming on Sunday, March 21 against Indian Hill, Lakota East, and Lakota West.

Both teams also have upcoming games. Varsity played at Summit Country Day yesterday, March 23.

They will also play Glenbrook North from Chicago Friday, March 26 at home. They round out the streak of games on Saturday, March 27 when they play Loveland at home.

Junior Varsity will play Friday, March 26 against Colerain and Saturday, March 27 against Loveland, with both of those games to be played at home.
