The Dynamic GoAves
DimSumJS at the TechOlympics

So, over the weekend, I went to Tech-Olympics 2012 at the Millennium Hotel in Downtown Cincinnati. There I got to meet cool people, play games, and party with other nerds(believe it or not there were actually girls there)! I also got to show case my project that you may have seen been implemented in this site before on Valentines Day, as well as Spirit Week. My project, DimSumJS, is a Javascript Game Framework. After presenting this project I was approached by a man from Marmalade, whose products have been used by PopCap, EA, and Square Enix, etc..., to port their various games to the iOS(iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch) platforms. He seemed very interested in my project and gave me his business card. Despite not winning the showcase presentation, I suppose it was better to greatly impress one person than to mildly impress everyone. I was able to take away a lot from the Tech-Olympics and look forward to the one next year!

The Dynamic GoAves!

Here at GoAves.com, we strive to keep our website compatible with all internet browsers. However, there is an amazing opportunity in using HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript to create a beautiful, dynamic website. That being said, if you use a webkit browser (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, or Safari), you may have noticed our Spirit Week confetti as well as our Valentine's day hearts. There will be more of these throughout the year. I started this development blog as a way to show you some sneak peeks at some interesting things I will be doing for the site as well introduce you all to the wonderful world of HTML5, and the dynamic GoAves.com!
