“When I study I always like to have food nearby. I can concentrate a whole lot better knowing that my stomach is full and I have nothing else to do. It is hard to sit there and be productive while I know I am craving food,” said Lindsey Coldiron, 9.
Sometimes students cannot focus on certain assignments and for some subconscious reason they choose to eat food to stay on track.
“Personally when I know I get confused in a certain class I keep food with me so I can pay closer attention. It keeps me happy and makes me feel like my brain functions better,” said Sara Sess, 10.
A lot of SHS students like to keep food with them that they either bring or purchase from one of the many vending machines because it is so hard to sit in class without having something to snack on.
“I am the kind of learner where I always like having something in my hand and that helps me learn and think more clearly, said Sess.
