For the forty-second year, the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Competition is in commencement. The purpose of this contest is to provide young artists with the opportunity to advance their talent.

The exhibition is open to all of Ohio’s 1,112 public and private high schools. From the 12,000 entries around 2,500 are selected to enter the state judging. State jurors then select 300 for the actual exhibition, with 25 of the 300 chosen to receive the Governor's Award of Excellence.

Another incentive for seniors is the opportunity for scholarships. With this competition over 30 institutions are offering scholarships. The list of these institutions can be found on the competition’s poster outside of the photo door.

If you are interested in taking part of this contest, entry forms can be found in the photoroom or more information can be found:Governor's Art Competition
