Legacy over, not forgotten

Houston may be gone, but never forgotten. In the Guinness World Record book she holds the spot for most-awarded female act of all time. In addition to that, she has claimed two Emmys and six Grammys in her lifetime. An iconic singer, actress, and performer, Whitney Houston was a woman of many great values. She pushed boundaries and touched the lives of many throughout her career.

One of her famous songs “I’ll always love you” was arguably her most successful from her movie “The Bodyguard”. It embodied what love meant to people around the world.

“Whitney Houston was probably the ultimate artist that influenced me the most. I always loved everything she sang,” said Jennifer Hudson.

As a fan, Hudson was commonly compared to Houston and did her justice when done so. At the 54th Grammy Awards, Hudson performed a tribute to Houston. During her emotional rendition of “I’ll always love you”, Hudson struggled to keep her tears from spilling.

The young star was only 48 when she passed, but her legacy will live on. Since the day she died, sales in her albums and songs skyrocketed on iTunes.

Her fans will always love and remember her individuality as a performer, impacting their lives with every song.

“Whitney, we love, we love you,” said Houston.
