Mock Trial, one of SHS clubs, is one that takes a lot of commitment and hard work. Mock Trial has two or three practices each week preparing and learning their designated case. On Jan. 7, the team will be going to the University of Cincinnati for their first competition.
The members of SHS Mock Trial have been working extremely hard trying to organize all of their speeches and papers together. They are all looking forward to this competition and hope to succeed.
“I'm excited to finally compete this year but I don't think we are as strong as we can be so it will be a great learning point for our strengths and weakness and will show
us what to improve on for districts,” said Erica Zaretsky, 11, a member of the team.
“Our coaches have been really helpful and we are ready to go in to this competition and do our best,” said Shyam Parikh, 10.
The team has more competitions after this one, and really hopes to make strides after this one. As Zaretsky said, they want to learn what their strengths and weaknesses are so they can learn what they need to improve for their next competitions.
“This competition is going to be intense and a good starting point for our up and coming Mock Trial team,” said Ritvik Vasudevan, 12.
