Tuesdays are the second day of the week, that second day reminding kids school is in session, but not for all. For those whom are part of Ski Club, it is wasting away those hours until you are geared up and running down the slopes.
However, with the weather patterns at a constant high temperature, low snowfall, and high rainfall, Ski Club has faced certain unavoidable situations.
“It has been a pretty rough year for Ski Club,” said Dr. Gene Donatell, school psychologis.t
But student skiers push through, especially those snow addicts used to the grand slopes of Utah or Colorado.
Whether one is racing your friends or bumping to music, the exhilarating feeling of skiing and snowboarding is like none other.
“Skiing with friends is the best part of the week,” said Nathan Silverman, 10.
On Tuesdays after school, students use their bus passes to travel the distance from SHS to Perfect North slopes, located in Southwest Indiana.
“Ski Club is a great way to meet new people and spend a Tuesday evening,” said Kristen Wessinger, 10.
