Daniel Bayliss

I have been in journalism all four years of high school, and I have never once questioned that decision. I am sports chief of the school's newspaper, which was rated the number one high school newspaper in Ohio. I have my own column entitled 'Cloud Nine'. I work mainly in sports, with the exception of an opinion, A&E, or feature article once in a while. Sports writing has always been a burning passion of mine, and I hope to eventually land a career in the field of sports, which could involve journalism, broadcasting, management, etc. I am an intern for CBS MaxPreps, and have written for Bleacher Report and my summer blog, the Halfway House. I have played tennis for the school's Varsity B team the past three years.

About me:

Wale and Mac Miller fill my iPod, and food makes me happy.

Everyone should see the first two Godfathers at some point in their life. They are not just movies, but rather rites of passage. You can skip the third one though.

ESPN and Twitter, among other sites, are bookmarked on my computer.

Quote to live by: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"-Wayne Gretzky. I would rather attempt and fail than fail to attempt.

In ten years I hope to maintain a job where sports are the focus, preferably as a journalist, broadcaster, or analyst.
