I recently moved to Cincinnati from Bentonville, Arkansas. However, I'm originally from Rhode Island and I really miss the ocean, the accents, and of course, the seafood. But I'm really looking forward to spending my senior year at Sycamore.
This is my first year as a Leaf staff member, and I aim to write primarily arts-based articles and new album reviews. My iPod is chock full of new music, mostly alternative rock, chamber pop, indie folk, and a smidge of psychedelic.
I am also a very avid reader, my favorite book being Catcher in the Rye. My bedside table is littered with books including, Naked Lunch by William Burroughs, East of Eden by John Steinbeck, and a Walt Disney biography by Neal Gabler.
For extracurricular activities, I love theatre. I’m very active in school productions, whether acting or working on crew. I especially enjoy children’s theatre. My last school put on an incredible production of Seussical, and I worked hard, building pillberry bushes, a Whoville clover, and several oddly shaped trees and shrubs.
In the future, I plan to attend college, ideally on the East Coast, and then proceed to medical school. However, I might instead pursue a career in zoology or animal sciences. Hopefully, college will help me decide which career path to follow.
