My name is Lauren Altemuehle. I am 15 years old and a sophomore at Sycamore High School. I joined journalism because my 9th grade teacher recommended it because she believed I was a skilled writer. The book on my nightstand right now is, "One Day" by David Nicholls. I've read a chapter each night for the past week or so. When I get home from school I usually log on to facebook, mostly just to check if I have any notifications. While I work on my homework, I listen to my i-pod. My i-pod consists mostly of alternative music like Maroon 5 and One Republic. At night, before I fall asleep, I usually think about my future. I ponder over whether I'll go to college, what career I will pursue, or even if I will marry or not. Ever since I was young I've enjoyed art. I would say I'm decent at drawing and such, I might not be the best, but it makes me happy. After I graduate high school, I want to go to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I surprise people when they discover that I have been dancing for about 12 years. This is my second year on Flyerettes, the dance team at Sycamore High School. Before that, I danced at Dance Concepts Studio. I participated in competition team, Hip-hop, jazz, ballet, tap, and performing company. liam was here My favorite movie of all time is "Moulin Rouge." Every other friday some of my friends and I hang out in my basement and have what we call a "Moulin Rouge Party." Usually I dress up for school. More then often I wear dresses. My favorite dress in my closet is turqoise and off the shoulder with a weaved belt. Turquoise is also my favorite color. The best advice I have ever gotten is "Rather be hated for who you are, then loved for who your not."-Kurt Cobain. I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me.
