MacKenzie Boyd

My name's MacKenzie Boyd, and this is my first year as a staff writer. I joined the Leaf because I love to write and take photographs. So, there's two things about me, and they're the two biggest things. When I'm not writing or taking pictures for the Leaf, I'm writing and taking pictures at home.

Dewar's Profile:

My favorite time of day is morning or noon.

The book on my nightstand? I am surrounded by books, there's It's Kind of a Funny Story, Atlas Shrugged, a Pretty Little Liars novel, and Edgar Allan Poe's collected works. Every now and then one falls, and I think there's a murderer or demon in my room. See what keeps me awake at night, above.

The music on my iPod is almost anything except for rap and classical. And music I haven't heard.

Something that keeps me awake at night is my fear of the movie Insidious.

My favorite school activity is photography.

My favorite piece of clothing is my oversized fleece I got in West Virginia.

The best advice I ever recieved is to know where my business ends and someone else's starts.

Something I learned in kindergarten that helps me today is not to eat Play-Doh. Fun to play with, not to eat!

I would like to have dinner with Diane Fossey because I did a project on her once, and I realized she's the coolest person ever.
