Hi! My name is Tori Swart. This is my first year on the Leaf staff, and it looks like it is going to be an exciting one! I love to write, especially short stories. I like it when people read my writing and they feel what my characters are feeling. I am also very competitive, but I have a good sense of humor and love to make people smile.
I am very into sports. I did gymnastics for ten years, and this will be my first year without it. Even so, I have discovered the many other sports the world has to offer. I swam during the summer, I am on the freshman volleyball team, and during the winter and spring, I plan to devote my time to track and field, especially pole vaulting.
A movie everone should see is Inception because it is so thought-provoking and exciting. Another is Toy Story 3. You just can't live life without the classic Pixar movies!
My favorite book or movie genre is Action and Adventure. A little romance is also welcome.
A lesson I learned in kindergarten that still helps me today is to make friends wherever you go. Even if they don't want to be friends, it is still good to be kind to them.
