I am a junior and this is my first year as a writer for the Sycamore Leaf.
I wish I was able to take this class freshman and sophomore year because I’m very interested in journalism as a future career. I’m employed at McDonald's and really enjoy my job. After school, if I’m not at work, you can usually find me leading my Boy Scout Troop.
My hobbies include model railroading and hiking. I would describe myself as a political junkie because I am fascinated by government and have my head glued to the television during every major news event. However my greatest joy is traveling and I take every chance I get to go someplace new.
Starting in May 2012 I will be taking over the Sycamore Leaf's political political column and as of April 2012 I will be a managing editor, a position I will hold through graduation. April is also the first issue of the Leaf published using my redesign of the paper
